Congressman Gary L Ackerman (D-New York) is a leading member of
the House International Relations Committee and the co-Chairman of
the Congressional Caucus forward India and Indian Americans. This is his
statement at the hearing onward "South Asia: Challenges in U Policy"
in the Subcommittee upon Asia and Pacific of the House International
