The Health Industry arrange Purchasing Assn. (HIGPA), Arlington, Va., is marshalling all of its resources to fight a strange Senate bill that it fights goes far beyond just regulating GPO and intrudes into the daily lives of each hospital and IDN in the nation.

HIGPA wants hospitals and IDNs to join its effort to bestow force and mass to its arguments. It is trying to argue that passage of this bill will extremity up costing hospitals a fortune in time and labor to certify each single individual who has any part in purchasing and supply chain activities.
