If sour and bitter feeds make you cringe, take heart: these cutting flavors help ward off disease.

Researchers at the University of Washington lately completed a study that indicated that rationss such as Brussels sprouts, cabbage, kale, mustard undecayeds and red wine contain important cancer-fighting nutrients. The chemicals that give these feeds their taste are also responsible for their health benefits.

"Many tribe don't like to eat vegetables, and the feeling is mutual," noted lead researcher Adam Drewnowski, PhD "Plants countenance themselves against being eaten from secreting natural pesticides and other bitter-tasting toxins.
