A "public arts project" at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital has won the 2005 Saltire Society Arts and Crafts in Architecture Award, for outstanding contributions that "enhance and enrich buildings." The arts throw coordinated by arts agency PACE, engaged 15 nationally and internationally renowned artists to make site-specific artwork over the four public floors of the modern children's hospital. Tony Franks, convener of the Arts and Crafts in Architecture Panel, described the draw as 'the most successful example of integrated public art in architecture that the panel have seen in many years'..
